The TANDF (Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation) Golf Classic will take place in Humble this June to raise funds for student scholarships.
The TANDF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that operates separately from the professional organization of the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Founded in 1983, the TANDF has over 4,000 members ranging from registered dietitians to nutrition students, and has awarded over 594 scholarships amounting to $508,566 for Texas dietetics students.
The golf classic will be in the format of a four-player scramble and will begin with an 8:00 am shotgun start. There will be prizes awarded for achievements like the longest drive and closest to the pin. There will also be a pancake breakfast sponsored by Kodiak Cakes. Other sponsors include Edward Jones, Nutritious Lifestyles, Dr. Caryn Hoing Nutrition, OdomRD Dietitian Consultants, HEB, Next Door Realty, and 88 Acres
Businesses interested in becoming sponsors can choose among several sponsoring levels, such as title, cart, hole, and meal. Title and cart sponsors will have their company Logo Design on items such as carts and Bags.
The Humble charity golf game is scheduled for Monday, June 6. The event will take place at 5860 Wilson Road, Humble. Single-golfer tickets are $150, while tickets for the four-person scramble are $600.
