Students will take over the stage in space-themed outfits at Creativity Shell’s sixth annual Student Fashion Show, Creativity Rocks Space.
At the show, students will model the clothes they design and sew. Cosmetology students at Lone Star College will provide hair and makeup services for this event. This provides an opportunity to help student models and designers get a boost of confidence.
Creativity Shell is a non-profit organization that educates students about sewing, textile arts and other life skills. The group work with shelters for children impacted by issues like human trafficking, trauma and homelessness. It also provides art and cooking supplies to children’s homes to continue mental health therapy through art and creativity.
Proceeds from this fashion show will go towards programs for children in juvenile homes and foster care throughout the Houston area. Tickets are available on the Creativity Shell website. Separate tickets are available for attending the event virtually or in person. Sponsors will be featured on the tickets, Creativity Rocks program booklet, and the Creativity Shell social media pages and website. Organizers for fashion events usually seek out graphic design professionals for creating the Booklets and other printed material used to promote the event.
The event will be held on May 1 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Humble Civic Center.
