Humble charcuterie class to celebrate mothers

In celebration of Mother’s Day next month, JMP Wines Tasting Room in Humble will hold the Mother's Day Charcuterie Workshop & Wine Tasting event.

JMP Wines is a local winery in Humble owned by husband-and-wife team Peter and Janell Marules. The winery specializes in both international wines from countries such as Argentina, Spain, and Greece, as well as domestic wines from Oregon, California, and even here in Texas. The shop also houses a tasting room where special events take place.

The charcuterie class and wine tasting will invite busy moms to unwind and relax while learning a new skill and tasting foods and wines. The owner of Graze Thyme Charcuterie, Brandy, will lead the workshop, teaching attendees how to make their own perfect charcuterie board. Participants will learn about proper cutting techniques, cheese selection, and board layouts, as well as how to create a salami rose and how to effectively color contrast the food. Brandy will also be available to suggest wine pairings for each board, and participants will get to taste a wide range of wines.

Businesses hosting events like this may utilize flyer printing services in their area to create advertising materials.

The Mother’s Day charcuterie event is scheduled for May 13 from 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm. JMP Wines Tasting Room is located at 7500 Old North Belt Drive. Tickets are $75.
