Humble barbecue festival to entice the tastebuds

The 10th Annual Houston Barbecue Festival will be held in Humble next month to celebrate the diversity and excellence of Houston barbecue.

Started in 2013, the festival has become one of Houston’s most beloved barbecue festivals. Rather than pit vendors against each other in a cookout, the festival serves as a celebration of Houston barbecue and those who cook it. Barbecue restaurants and cooks will get to share their culinary creations with hungry festivalgoers and make connections in the community. The represented vendors have been handpicked by the event organizers after visiting over 100 barbecue joints in Houston/Humble and choosing those establishments that most represent the diversity, quality, and history of the city.

Tickets will include entry and unlimited two-ounce samples, which equals around one rib and a slice of brisket. The current vendor line-up will feature Black Iron Barbecue, Tejas Chocolate & BBQ, Dozier’s BBQ, and Nomad Barbecue. There will also be craft beer and wine available for purchase.

Events showcasing food may encourage vendors to create detailed Brochures of their products, which they can get printed at local Print shops offering brochure printing.

The barbecue festival is scheduled for Sunday, April 2 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. It will take place at the Humble Civic Center Arena Complex at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway. General pre-sale admission is $60.
