Festival celebrates Mexican culture

The inaugural Houston Fajita Festival is taking place next month in Humble. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to La Rosa Family Services.

The festival is a celebration of Mexican food, culture, and art. Guests will be able to purchase many traditional or Tex-Mex dishes and beverages. For the adults, there is the beer and spirit garden. Guests can also cool off in the Chill Zone.

For those with courage and who like their food hot, there will be a jalapeno-eating contest. Other activities will include wrestling, live music, Djs, and live art walls. The Playground will have games for prizes, a dunk tank, and bouncy houses. Costumed characters will also be making appearances. In addition, those who are interested can sign up for a fajita workshop.

This Humble event will likely attract visitors from all over the area. Flyers are likely to have been distributed as advertising.

The Fajita Festival will be held at the Humble Civic Center and Arena Complex on June 4 from 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM. Admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the door for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 5 and 12. VIP tickets are available for $60 and include a fajita buffet and 20 drink tickets, while Elite VIP for $80 also includes a mug, T-shirt, and 30 drink tickets.
