Fantastic fun on first two weekends of February

Humble is gearing up for two fun and exciting weekends to get February off to a lively kick-start.

First up, the Humble BBQ Cook-off, presented by Insperity will take place February 1 and 2 at the Humble Civic Center and Arena Complex. The complex is located outside of downtown Houston near the Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Live entertainment will hit the Bud Light Stage at the BBQ, starring Jason Cassidy on Friday, February 1, and Kolby Gray on Saturday, February 2. The Insperity Hospitality Tent will offer free food and other activities during the week.

The following weekend, the Humble Rodeo will bring out the cowboys for some outdoor adventures. The Josh Abbott Band starring Dustin Lynch will perform at the rodeo on February 8, followed by Kevin Fowler on February 9. Lynch is a rising country star with his successful hit single ‘Cowboys and Angels’ released in 2012. The shows start after the last rodeo performance.

Event planners consistently work with printing companies for materials needed for the various activities. Rodeos are well promoted through the use of banner printing. Banners are generally hung throughout the city in advance of the rodeo to attract attention and boost attendance. Cook-off events normally use Posters to advertise the upcoming competitions.

Proceeds will go towards the Humble ISD Education Foundation – a body providing educational offerings for students within the district. For more information on the Humble ISD Education Foundation, visit its website.

Tickets for the rodeo or cook-off registration may be transacted online through the event website or by contacting 281-641-8142.
