The 25th annual Awards and Scholarship Celebration of the University of Houston Black Alumni Association is taking place in just over a week’s time.
The theme for this year is ‘Connecting the past, inspiring the future’. A portion of proceeds will raise funds to provide a University of Houston student with a scholarship.
Since this is such an important anniversary, several of the awards past winners will be making appearances and will be celebrated by current members. This will be followed by the awarding of a scholarship and other designations.
The emcee for the evening is set to be Latoya Silmon Fox 4 News. Guests will have access to hors d'oeuvre stations. Musical entertainment will be provided by Carl Thomas. Guests can also bid on items in a silent auction.
For those local business leaders and individuals who cannot make it to the celebration, sponsorships are available from $500 up to $2,500.
No doubt the organization has many members around the area, including in nearby Humble. A local printing company may have provided the printed Invitations that were likely sent out to all alumni.
The Awards and Scholarship Celebration will take place at the Hilton Americas-Houston on August 8 starting at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $125 each or $225 for two. To find out more information about this event, call 832-723-6237.Get a Free Quote for Invitations
