Area run helps to make the holidays healthy

The Tavola Reindeer Run is taking place next month very close to Humble.

There are two separate runs that will be held. The 5K will begin at 8:00 am and the entry fee is $35, while the 1K Family Run/Walk starts at 9:00 am and costs $20 to register. Both runs will start off at the Tavola Recreation Center. All participants will receive a t-shirt, a goodie bag and a finisher medal; the top male and female finishers will also receive $100. Those who are interested in participating must register before December 11.

There is set to be a post-race party for participants and nonparticipants. There will be hot drinks and food to purchase, prize drawings, and the person with the best holiday costume will win $100. For the kids, Santa will be there to pose for pictures. In addition, a bounce house, rock climbing wall, face painting, and a bungee run will keep younger guests entertained.

The T-Shirts that will be given out to the runners, some of whom will no doubt come from Humble, were likely created with the help of Logo Design experts.

The Tavola Reindeer Run will be held at the Tavola Recreation Center on December 11 from 8:00 to 11:00 am; the post-race party will end at 12:00 noon. Contact Lindsay Woodard at 281-541-4659 to learn more.
