The 8th annual Artopia is taking place this month, hosted by Houston Press.
A free preview party will give those who are deciding whether or not to attend an early look at all that will be happening. This is for ages 21 and over, and it will feature musical entertainment and a live painting by Jumper Maybach.
The festival itself is set to feature live music from artists such as Music Catch Fever and Say Girl Say, along with fashion shows, dance, and theater. Local artists will also be on hand to showcase their works. Three Mastermind Awards will be handed out, each coming with a $2,000 cash prize.
Guests will enjoy food, wine, cocktails, and beer sampling. There will also be an after-party at Cle Houston from 11:00 pm - 2:00 am.
Those interested in the arts from all over the area, including Humble, will no doubt wish to attend one of these events. To spread the word, local Print companies may have provided advertising materials such as Flyers.
The Artopia preview party will be held at 1919 Wine and Mixology on January 14 from 7:00 - 10:00 PM.
Artopia will take place at Winter Street Studios on January 30 from 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm; admission is restricted to those aged 21 and over. Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door, while VIP tickets cost $85 or $100. Contact Colleen Sexton at 713-280-2467 to learn more.
