John Acosta's Bee Gees Gold Tribute band has performed throughout the world. Acosta has been acclaimed for his Barry Gibb performance, whom he resembles physically, and for his vocal ability, which precisely duplicates Gibb's talent. The group is rounded out by Daryll Borges, who plays Robin Gibb, and Jeff Celentano, who plays Maurice Gibb.
A live band backs the trio, which mimics the sound and look of the Bee Gees as they were in the 1960s and 1970s, including singing in the falsetto range they made famous. The group performs early works like “I Started a Joke” and “Massachusetts,” and continues up to their well-known hits such as “You Should Be Dancing” and the iconic “Stayin' Alive,” both from the soundtrack to “Saturday Night Fever.” The film brought the Bee Gees to prominence and skyrocketed John Travolta's career.
