Myrtle Beach is home to some stealthy night Flyers, and a presentation will give an insight into the lives and times of these insect and fruit eaters.
Myrtle Beach State Park’s Park After Dark program offers presentations on a variety of topics, and late May’s will offer a sneak peek into the lives of bats. It will combine classroom learning with a chance to observe the nocturnal mammals in person.
The activity will open with a 30-minute presentation about bats, which will explore how they are the world's only flying mammals. The attendees will find out how they use echolocation to hunt and navigate, and it will then be time to head outdoors to take a short walk while observing bats flying and hunting. Everyone will be invited to their calls using a special device, and the function can accommodate up to 20 participants.
Many people enjoy learning about the world around them, and being part of a presentation may help them to develop a better understanding and appreciation of nature. Handouts that offer even more information about the topic at hand can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
Myrtle Beach State Park will be offering this opportunity to “go batty” on Wednesday, May 20. It will begin at 7:30 pm, and everyone who registers has been asked to bring a digital or paper copy of their ticketing receipt to show the ranger when they arrive.
