Popular chain of restaurants Panda Express, which serves Chinese food suited to American tastes, has opened a new location in North Myrtle Beach.
The store is on North Kings Highway, number 1598. To celebrate its opening day, the restaurant gave 20% of its profits for the opening day to Ocean Drive Elementary School.
It is expected that the new Panda Express will bring 20 jobs with it, and people who are interested are invited to apply now. The location will offer the menu items that are popular throughout the chain, including honey walnut shrimp, sweetfire chicken breast, and orange chicken. The store will have both drive-thru and dine-in options.
Panda Express's Sylvia Takacs, who is the company's area coach of operations, said the chain is looking forward to bringing its American-Chinese food to the city's residents. She reiterated that Panda Express puts people first, and the company is looking forward to opening more locations in the eastern part of the country.
Andrew Cherng and Peggy Cherng opened the first Panda Express in Glendale, California, at the Glendale Galleria in 1983. Today, the chain operates in the District of Columbia and all 50 states, as well as South Korea, Mexico, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the UAE.
