New tenants coming to Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach, an entertainment center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is making changes.

In the Celebrity Square section, which is devoted to nightlife, a Dave & Buster's is moving in, the Hard Rock Cafe was remodeled, and the former Revolutions Nightclub, which closed in 2015, was taken over by Oz, a new club.

Burroughs and Chapin owns Broadway, and the director emeritus, Egerton Burroughs, revealed that the recession meant little had been done at the complex. Now that things are running more smoothly, the company is reinvesting capital and changing things around.

The company noted that smaller changes are being made throughout the complex to complement the larger enterprises that are moving in, such as improving outdoor seating.

This is only the third D&B in South Carolina, and it will be an anchor tenant in an important location in the entertainment area. The combination restaurant, bar, and arcade will comprise over 40,000 square feet, and is being built to resemble a warehouse. It is expected that the new spot will open in June 2017.

A number of new restaurants are also opening in Broadway, including Wahlburgers, Paula Deen's Family Kitchen, and the Carolina Ale House.
