Myrtle Beach workshop to teach magic of watercolors

Aspiring artists should note that the Janet Rogers AWS Watercolor Workshop will be held in Myrtle Beach this November.

The workshop will be a weeklong event that will teach attendees to utilize watercolors to paint a variety of themes including landscapes, figures, portraits, and florals. Instructor Janet Rogers will guide the workshop with her hands-on methods that will help students find their own creative style. Every class session will begin with a demonstration from Rogers, followed by students painting on their own with individual guidance.

The venue will be a large space with high ceilings to provide for social distancing. Each student will receive their own six-foot table to paint from. The classroom itself is oceanfront with inspiring ocean views and natural light to boost creative expression. Students are also welcomed to take breaks and walk along the beach during the workshop sessions. Several local restaurants are situated within walking distance of the classroom, and a Starbucks will be onsite as well.

Art workshops such as this may provide a variety of printed materials to students, and local Stationery printers may be helpful to organizers when preparing such materials.

The workshop is scheduled for November 7 through November 11. It will take place at Grande Cayman Resort on 7200 North Ocean Boulevard. Class registration is $629.
