Mid-August’s arrival means it's almost time to return to classes, and a Myrtle Beach area business is seeking contributions for its Back to School Drive.
Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s will be helping to send kids back to classes with the supplies they need for success. It will be capped off by its Back to School Bash, and all area families have been invited.
Anyone who would like to lend a helping hand can drop off non-perishable food items, clothing, school supply contributions, and monetary donations to 4954 Hwy 17 South in North Myrtle Beach. They will be collected for distribution by Backpack Buddies and Help 4 Kids.
The Back to School Bash celebration will be an afternoon of active fun hosted at LuLu’s. Admission will be free, and the families who attend will be treated to balloon twisters, face painters, bounce houses, a crafting station, and other activities.
Backpack fillers and other school supply donation drives help to make sure that all kids in an area have the materials they need to achieve academic success. A banner printing company can prepare signage to deploy at the collection points.
Myrtle Beach residents who would like to make a contribution to the school supply drive may do so throughout this month up until the date of the Bash, which is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 30.
