Myrtle Beach’s Grande Dunes Marketplace will be home to a new restaurant featuring Asian cuisine. The eatery is called Sweet & Sour Asian Kitchen, according to an article in Myrtle Beach Online.
The restaurant is owned by Greg Pranzo, who said the menu he’s planning will be unlike anything that can now be found in Myrtle Beach, and he is positive both visitors and residents will like the way he and his team have created dishes.
The menu will include a number of different Asian cuisines that will be served family-style. In addition, there will be noodle and rice dishes, as well as a selection of sushi. Pranzo has also teased eager diners by mentioning what he calls an “over the top” scorpion bowl. A scorpion bowl traditionally is a drink made with several different kinds of rum and fruit juice, and served in a large bowl, with dry ice and 151-proof alcohol added in the center to make the bowl resemble a smoking volcano.
Dessert promises to be intriguing, since it is Thai Rolled ice cream, a new treat that is enjoying a surge of popularity. The beverage menu will feature sake, beer, and cocktails crafted with an Asian influence.
