This holiday season, Myrtle Beach locals will get to enjoy the 2021 Santa's Big Day one-mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1-mile, and 26.2-mile running events in their own backyard.
Hosted by Moon Joggers through Virtual Runs Events, Santa’s Big Day Run will be a virtual event revolving around the theme of helping Santa deliver his presents on the big day.
The virtual aspect of the event will allow attendees to run or walk the race at their own pace in their chosen location throughout the month of December. Participants simply choose the distance they wish to complete during the month and send in the results to the organizers. The race can be completed anywhere from the home treadmill to the local park. After completing their designated distances, runners will receive a Believe in the Magic medal with a special Santa-themed Logo Design etched on it.
Race registration price includes the medal, running bib, and shipping fees. A portion (15%) of all proceeds will go towards supporting Operation Warm, a charity organization that helps connects underserved children in the community with basic needs, such as new, high-quality winter coats.
The 2021 Santa’s Big Day Race will take place from December 18 through December 31. Registration is normally $25, but those interested can now sign up on Eventbrite for a discounted price of $20.
