In early April, the Asher Theatre will be holding a tribute show to Luther Vandross for fans in the Myrtle Beach area.
The Asher Theatre is a conference and event center with a strong presence in the Grand Strand community. It hosts family-friendly shows in the style of Vegas and Disney entertainment. The tribute show in April will showcase this as it pays tribute to the musical powerhouse that was the late Luther Vandross.
The tribute will be headlined by Cedric Bowler, an R&B and Gospel singer from Atlanta whose voice has been dubbed the “Voice of an Angel.” He will cover classic hits from Vandross, such as The Power of Love and A House is Not a Home. Bowler will also perform an original song called My Angel.
Attendees will be able to purchase wine, beer, and soda, as well as popcorn and candy for concessions. The event will adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, so strict masking and other PPE requirements will be in place.
