An activity that will make sure Myrtle Beach schools and scholars alike are ready for another academic year is set for mid-August, and all help will be appreciated.
The Grand Stand Young Professionals group and Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful have set the date for a community service project, and this hands-on activity will be on offer at the Pepper Geddings Rec Center. A call has gone out seeking both volunteers and donations, and anyone interested can register now.
The attendees will be cleaning the property around the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium as well as the recreation center and the surrounding areas. Parking will be available, and when they arrive for the session, the participants can drop off a donation of school supplies. Even if they can’t take part in person, the public can still make a difference by making a financial contribution or donating gifts in kind.
Students in communities all across the USA will be heading back to classes, and school supply drives help to make sure they have the materials they need for success. A poster printing company will be pleased to provide items that can help to get the word out about an upcoming special event.
This chance to do a good turn for Myrtle Beach Scholars is scheduled for August 16th. Its registration system is on offer on the city’s Chamber of Commerce’s website.
