An activity planned with thrifty gardeners in mind will be helping to get the 2025 planting season off to a flying start, and it will be held at a Myrtle Beach area venue.
The Plant Swap that has been organized by North Myrtle Beach Parks and recreation will welcome all home horticulturalists, and will provide a chance to learn and connect with other gardeners. The J. Bryan Floyd Community Center, located at 1030 Possum Trot Road, will be the venue for the afternoon.
Those who would like to get involved can bring sprouted plants as well as rooted cuttings and any gently used tools, pots and other gear they would like to pass along. They can choose items that catch their eye, and a “free” area will be set up with plants that can be picked up without having to make a swap. It's been requested that all items be labeled with their name, cultivar and any special care tips.
A plant swap can be a thrifty and fun way for home gardeners of all skill levels to add some new items to their collection while passing along their extras to a new home. A poster printing company can provide marketing materials at a variety of price points; this may be very effective when it comes to promoting an activity to the public.
