The Myrtle Beach area is about to welcome the return of a well-loved local Halloween tradition, and everyone is encouraged to hop in their golf cart and get in on the fun.
A convoy of decorated carts and other entries will be making its way along 9th Avenue and Laurel Street before arriving in the community’s downtown. Awards will be presented, and spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer them on as they go by.
Those who are interested in joining the fun can decorate their golf cart, but they may want to keep in mind that the activity is family friendly. The carts will line up at the Conway Public Safety Building, and the riders can enter the spirit of the occasion by dressing up in costumes that fit in well with the theme they have chosen. Everyone, whether they take part or spectate, is asked to be considerate of other people's property, and this year, the celebration will be combined with the CCU Homecoming Parade.
A special public event gives neighbors a fun reason to come together, which can help to build strong communities. A banner printing company may be tasked with preparing decorations for the staging area as well as the start and finish line, and they can also craft flags and Banners for the marchers to carry.
