Myrtle Beach’s popular farmers’ market, The Myrtle Market, will soon reopen for the season.
Mark Kruea, speaking on behalf of the City of Myrtle Beach, said that customers who go to The Market on opening day will receive complimentary popcorn, hot dogs, and reusable Shopping Bags, as long as there are supplies available.
The Market offers fresh produce, but the selection varies depending upon what is in season. Among the fresh veggies and fruits typically found are beans, cabbage, okra, summer squash, cantaloupe, which guests also able to take their pick of shrimp, cheese, barbeque sauce, maple syrup, jam, and jelly. There are craft items available too.
Shoppers are invited to sit and relax on one of the market’s picnic benches then spend time browsing through the market. There is ample parking available.
Market organizers might like to consider working with a flyer printing company on a handout for shoppers. The flyer could list the vendors and where they are located, and contain coupons for discounts, to draw visitors to the market.
The Myrtle Market opens for the season on April 22, at 9:00 am, and is located at the corner of North Oak Street and Mr. Joe White Avenue.
