Huge holiday event in Myrtle Beach

A holiday celebration that brings the Victorian era to life is planned for Myrtle Beach next month.

The Myrtle Beach Convention Center is the site of the 39th Annual Dickens Christmas Show and Festivals. Attendees will find a wide variety of entertainment, and chances to shop for unique gifts in the Victorian Holiday Marketplace.

Against the background of a Victorian Christmas, over 300 vendors wearing period costumes will be displaying their merchandise, offering holiday decorations, gourmet food, artworks, and more.

In addition, Charles Dickens' era will be brought to life by entertainers and events that would have been found in his time. These include strolling musicians, experts at reading tea leaves, displays of shadow Boxes, and Punch & Judy shows, which date back over 100 years.

Santa will be on hand, and two popular events are also returning this year: Scrooge's Hunt for the Missing Presents, and the Victorian Snow Globe Challenge. In addition, there will be displays of stockings, wreaths, trees, and other items for sale via a silent auction, with proceeds going to local non-profit organizations.

The show is scheduled for November 12 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; November 13, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm; November 14, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; and November 15, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Flyer printing can be used to provide informative handouts for attendees at events like this.
