Local seniors have been offered a chance to keep on learning even after they have retired.
The Delaware Valley University’s Center for Learning in Retirement offers a variety of classes and other opportunities for Royersford area seniors and other retirees, and there are at least 80 to choose from. Live, virtual, and blended instruction is on offer, and some of the activities even include trips to area attractions and cultural venues.
The topics of the workshops and classes will range from history to science and technology, and special interest groups, guest speakers and other exclusive events are on the agenda as well. The term will run from the start of February through to the end of April, and the registration fee is $75. The program is limited to those age 55 and up.
Many people are eager to keep on learning throughout their lives. Hard copy educational materials such as textbooks, manuals, handouts, and other items to help them do so may all be produced by Print shops, which can offer a range of price options.
The registration system for the spring semester of Learning in Retirement will open to the public on January 3. The term runs from February 3 to April 25, and links to both a program guide and additional details can be found on its Patch listing.
