Golf fundraiser teeing off to benefit charity

The Summer Classic Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by World Wide Stereo, is set to take place in Royersford.

Now in its fourth edition, the annual tournament has grown from a casual summer outing into an established community event. The tournament supports Ancora Spero – Anchored in Hope, a non-profit organization that assists families experiencing financial strain while supporting children with complex medical needs. For this particular occasion, Ancora Spero has also partnered with Firely Pediatric Services to help provide resources and guidance to these families.

This year’s initiative aims to raise funds for a new wheelchair accessible playground at Farley’s Medical Day Care, creating a safe and inclusive space where children can play and explore. A tournament like this in the local area can generate demand for banner, flyer, and poster printing at nearby Print shops.

Each ticket includes morning refreshments before tee off, along with food service during the round. The tournament normally follows a scramble format, starting with breakfast. Lunch will be provided after the tournament, and drinks and snacks will remain available for participants and guests for the duration of the event.

The charity golf event will take place at Landis Creek Golf Club on Saturday, June 6, from 7 am to 6 pm. Registration opens at 7 am, with an 8 am shotgun start. Tickets are priced at $400 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite.
