Royersford residents will have the opportunity to support families affected by pediatric cancer during the Dragon Run for Courage 5K Run/Walk.
The event will bring together runners and walkers of all ages to raise awareness and funds for the Conor McKenna Foundation and Jake’s Dragon Foundation. Proceeds will be divided equally between the foundations to fund a scholarship in Conor’s name and support pediatric cancer research. Over the years, more than $50,000 has been raised through this event.
The 5K course will follow a slightly updated route through the streets of Royersford. Participants seeking a shorter challenge can join the one-mile walk or run. Those unable to attend in person can take part through the virtual run/walk option.
Events like these may use Logo Design to build recognition and promote them across printed materials.
Registration begins at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K at 9:00 am, and the one-mile walk/run at 9:05 am. An awards ceremony will take place at 10:30 am. The event will be held rain or shine, and runners registered by this Wednesday, September 23 will have their race shirt and preferred size guaranteed. All runs cost $40 to participate in.
The race will take place on Saturday, October 3. It will begin at Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center, 400 South Lewis Road, Royersford from the rear parking lot on Green Street.
