A bonsai tree can provide living proof that there can be a lot of beauty in life’s smaller side. Root Down Brewing Company, located in the Royersford area, will give people a chance to enjoy an evening with their friends while they have fun and get their hands dirty.
A 21 years-and-over-only workshop is being arranged that will offer an introduction to the art of cultivating bonsai in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Instruction will be provided, and with a little luck and some TLC, the jaded plants used for this project will live for many years to come.
While they enjoy a beer from Root Down Brewery, the participants will be led through the steps of planting a bonsai tree and will also learn how to prune, wire and train their plant. The registration fee includes a ceramic pot as well as the jade tree, soil and decorative rock, and anyone who arrives a little bit early will be able to purchase a bite to eat before the class begins.
The fee to sign up for this event is $45.00, and pre-registration is required. Print shops can be counted upon to supply tasting glasses and other custom glassware for this type of function that has been printed with the host’s Logo Design.
The plan is for this workshop to begin at 7:00 pm on March 12th. Root Down Brewing Company’s location is 1 North Main Street in Phoenixville.
