Disposing of hazardous waste correctly is one way members of the public can do a good turn for Mother Nature, and a Hazardous Waste Collection Day has been scheduled for those who call Royersford home.
The community will be holding a drive through hazardous waste collection event, and as there will be little to no contact, the organizer explained that it will be pandemic friendly. Masks must be worn at the site, and appointment bookings can be made as part of the registration process.
Once an individual has reserved their time slot, they will be able to prepare for the drop off. Items must be placed in the trunk or SUV or truck bed, and they are welcome to arrive with their materials at any time during their booked window. They have been asked to either Print or write out their name and appointment time on a large piece of paper and place it on their dashboard. It was noted that appliances and electronics will not be accepted during this activity.
When preparing for a public event like this, the organizers often choose to have special signage prepared for the occasion. Sign printing is one of the services that is available at local Print shops.
The Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center in Royersford will be the location for this community clean up day, and it's been scheduled for September 25th. Appointment windows can be booked throughout the day.
