Residents of Royersford who would like to do a good turn for those living with cancer and have a great time doing so may want to sign up now for a pop-up style fundraiser planned near them.
It has been planned in support of Jake’s Dragon Foundation, and the whole family, including those with four legs and fur, are welcome.
The organizers of the event have put out a call to the community to support their efforts. Those who participate can walk, run, ride a scooter or bike or roll along in a wheelchair. It is not a race, but an opportunity for the community to come together in support of a cause.
The goal of the pop-up is for all the participants to do the 10 miles as a group, but anyone who feels they can only do a portion of the course can choose to stop part way. Once everyone has finished, the fun will keep on going as everyone who took part will head to a local eatery to celebrate.
When planning an event like this, clear marking is important. Signs and other items from area Print shops can be useful for this, and the printer can work with the planners to ensure they have the products they need at a fair price.
The Win the Day Warriors pop up is set to be held on September 22. The plan is for it to take place in Collegeville’s Palmer Park.
