Spring is here, and that means millions of migrating birds are on the move. The Royersford area has planned a warm welcome where everyone is encouraged to take part.
The John James Audubon Center has announced that its Foods of the Flyway event is a go for this May. It will use food to highlight the routes the birds follow along the Atlantic Flyway, and tickets for the function are $40 each.
Guests at the celebration will be offered the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes that hail from stops along the flyway, and this will be followed by a screening of a short film. They will learn about the habitat preservation efforts of Audubon and the organization that carries his name today. Each ticketholder will receive a free drink, and they will be able to mingle and get to know their fellow birding enthusiasts.
The spring migration season is often an exciting time for birders, as it provides a chance to view species they might otherwise not get to see. Special events held during this time may take this as inspiration for themed decor, and a banner printing company’s graphic design team can prepare an assortment of custom items.
Saturday, May 11 will see the John James Audubon Center welcome the return of the birds. It will be getting started at 5:30 pm.
