Royersford area walk to support womens empowerment
When women come together, they can move mountains, and a Royersford area walk will help get the word out about female empowerment.
This year will mark the third outing for the Saree Walk, which will bring women together in the spirit of sisterhood, seeking to break through societal and other barriers that may hold them back.
Those who register for the day are encouraged to wear a saree or other comfortable clothing, and sneakers are recommended. The walk follows a route of five kilometers, and this year's charity of choice is the Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, a local not-for-profit that supports women and children in the community.
The staging area for the day will be set up in Pavilions 1 and 2 at Norristown Farm Park. Walkers can choose from the 1km, 3km, or 5km options, and everyone will receive an assortment of promotional products to thank them for their support. Keynote speakers will address the crowd, and a session of Bollywood Zumba will wrap up the occasion.
This in-person activity will take place rain or shine, and snacks and water are highly recommended. A banner printing company can provide signs for the start and finish line for an event.
