Butterflies are one of the heralds of summer, and along with being pretty and fun to watch, they are also some of nature’s top pollinators. Royersford families are invited to show some appreciation to these beautiful bugs by taking part in a local festival.
Colonial Gardens will be offering a tip of hat to butterflies, moths, beetles, bees, birds and other pollinators, and monarch butterflies are scheduled to be the stars of the show. There will be two releases of these long distance travellers, and the participants will learn about how they make their journey.
The plans for the gardens’ Butterfly Festival include a selection of guest speakers and seminars, making it anopportunity for those who would like to learn more about ways they can become stewards of their local environment. Food will be available, and local crafters will be invited to set up shop for the day.
The organizers of the day explained that everyone who comes to the festival will be able to take part in the butterfly release. They can be reserved for $8 each, and this sort of detail can be included in the Promotional Products prepared by Print shops to help market an event like this to the public.
Phoenixville’s Colonial Gardens will be hosting this celebration of pollinators and the important role they play on August 22nd. The butterflies will be taking to the sky at 11:30 am and 2:00 pm.
