The Hometown Holidays celebration begins next weekend in Pottstown.
The event will start with a raffle to be held on Small Business Day. Local businesses will be giving away prizes, for which tickets are $25 each. Then, on subsequent weekends, there will be plenty of holiday activities to appeal to the entire family.
There are set to be candlelight historic house tours, the tree lighting, carriage rides, and breakfast with Santa. Visitors can enjoy tea with Mrs. Claus, story time with the elves, roaming musicians, and holiday brunches at local restaurants. So that the adults can have a good time as some of the events without worrying about the kids being bored, free babysitting is also available.
In addition, the Funky Santa 5K and three-person relay will be taking place on the first Sunday in December. Santa will also make three appearances at the Smith Family Plaza during the month to talk to kids and pose for pictures.
This event will likely not only attract residents of Pottstown but those from surrounding communities, such as Royersford. Organizers may have invested in flyer printing services to spread the word.
