Local history museum to host annual spring fair

In just a few weeks, the Springford Area Historical Society will be hosting its annual May Fair. This year, the Society is also celebrating its 30th year.

As with other years’ fairs, this one is expected to feature baked goods and flowers for sale, food for purchase, and musical entertainment. Last year’s event included an antique fire truck. All of the museum buildings will also be open to the public.

The Society’s museum is home to many historic industrial and commercial buildings. The oldest building on the premises is a house built in 1861. Guests have the opportunity to see how people lived their lives and how business was conducted in those days. Usually, the museum is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, as well as the first and third Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Organizers may advertise this event using Flyers purchased from Royersford and area printing companies. Flyers are inexpensive to produce and are among the most effective Forms of advertising due to their versatility in distribution.

The May Fair will be held at the Springford Area Historical Society's Pavilion on May 3 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Admission is free.
