Late April event showcases regional restaurants

The Philadelphia Travel and Culinary Expo is taking place for three days at the end of next month.

The show will feature food samples from some of the region's best restaurants and food vendors. Representatives of various national and international resorts and travel companies will also be on hand to provide information about available packages and destinations. Many of the exhibitors will be offering specials to show goers or handing out free items to promote their products and/or services.

Visitors can sign up for free scuba diving lessons in the ‘Be a Diver’ pool, watch cooking demonstrations, and attend presentations from guest speakers. This year's event is set to feature White House Chef Guy Mitchell, Aaron McCargo, Jr. of the Food Network, and Chef Glen Ross from ‘BBQ Pitmasters’.

The Mid-Atlantic Craft Beer Pavilion will feature tastings of craft brews matched with compatible cheeses. There will be one session a day and tickets are $35.

People from all over the area, including from nearby Royersford, will likely be attracted to this show. Exhibitors may also work with local companies to create Promotional Products to hand out to those visitors.

The Philadelphia Travel and Culinary Expo will take place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center from April 30 to May 1. Admission is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Call 1-888-705-6576 for more information.
