Festival to showcase area restaurants

The Phoenixville Food Festival is about to take place for a week.

The event will begin with a one-day Food Truck Festival. Bridge Street between the 100 and 200 blocks will be closed to traffic to provide plenty of room for 20 food trucks of all kinds and their customers. Some of the trucks confirmed for this year are Jimmie's Cupcake Company, Mama's Meatballs, and Uncle B's BBQ Shack. There will be musical entertainment, craft vendors, and the day will end with a pub crawl.

Fees for those who wish to participate are set at $125 for a savory food truck, $75 for a dessert food truck, and $50 for craft vendors.

The second part of the festival is Phoenixville Restaurant Week. Several restaurants in the city will be offering special prix fixe deals for $10, $25, or $35. This will no doubt get people to try restaurants they may never have thought of visiting before.

This festival attracts from 7,000 to 10,000 visitors each year from all surrounding areas, such as the neighboring borough of Royersford. All participating restaurants will have made up special Menus that may have been provided by local Stationery printers.

The Phoenixville Food Festival will run from October 4 to 9. The Food Truck Festival will take place on October 4 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and Phoenixville Restaurant Week runs from October 5 to 9. Call 610-933-3070 for more information.
