Event to help bring green back to Royersford area park

An event that will show a little extra love to Mother Nature will soon be seeing residents of Royersford, along with other local communities, make King of Prussia’s Heuser Park a whole lot greener.

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Upper Merion Shade Tree Commission and One Tree Planted have joined forced to help remediate the loss of trees that occurred last year due to an infestation of emerald ash borer beetles. The area where the new trees will be installed is along the Valley Forge West multi-use trail, and all help will be appreciated.

As the group will be working with the soil, they can count on getting their hands dirty. They have been asked to wear long pants and shoes that have closed toes. It is also recommended that they bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Kids who are 16 and under are encouraged to get involved with the project, but they will need be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a waiver. Business Forms like these are just some of the items that can be sourced from a printing services company.

This tree planting party is set to kick off at 9:00 am on October 26. The point of contact for anyone who has questions can be reached at gabriela@onetreeplanted.org.
