The Limerick Community Day celebration is returning to the area this August. A popular event, it attracts between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors each year.
Proceeds benefit the Parks and Recreation Department and enable it to upgrade playground equipment, create a dog park, and extend walking trails.
The Rotary Club will be sponsoring carnival rides and games, and there will be inflatables, sports demonstrations, and information booths from local non-profit organizations. Entertainment will also be provided during the day, with the likes of clowns, magicians, and face painters likely to add to the merriment.
In addition, the Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce is presenting a business expo. Booths cost from $100 for non-profit companies up to $200 for commercial businesses. Sponsorships are available from $1,000 to $7,000, and those who contribute will be mentioned on advertising, receive an expo booth, and gain recognition on the Community Day banner.
The event will likely attract visitors from all around the area, including nearby Royersford. Organizers may have invested in marketing services from area Print companies to help advertise.
Limerick Community Day is taking place at Limerick Community Park on August 23 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Failing that, a rain date of August 24 has been set.
