Annual autumn activity to return to Royersford area

Each fall, millions of birds make their way to their winter homes in the south, and a Royersford area celebration will offer them a special salute.

The John James Audubon Center has made plans to host its Community Day event in late September, and it will mark Spanish Heritage Month. The activity will have a migration theme, and it will provide fun for the whole family.

The plans for the day include exhibits and demonstrations of Mexican dancing, and bilingual bird tours are also on the agenda. Kids can participate in songbird-themed activities, and there will be bird ambassadors for everyone to meet. Local breweries and taco trucks will supply the food and beverages, and a canoeing experience is also in the works. While they enjoy themselves, attendees will be learning about birds and how migration helps them survive the winter months.

One of the aspects of the day that the organizers are especially excited about is the screening of a short film prepared by youth in the Latino community. A poster printing company can be helpful in building public anticipation for such an upcoming event.

The John James Audubon Center will be offering its Community Day celebration on Sunday, September 29. The festivities will begin at 11:00 am, and much of what will be on offer will be free of charge.
