Popular grunge cover band returning to North Olmsted

A band that recreates the 1990s Seattle grunge sound is on the way back to North Olmsted.

The Sly Fox has invited Grunge DNA to return to the venue, and the band has agreed, saying they love the Fox because its light and stage show is first rate. They promise to play three complete sets of the best ‘90s grunge and alt-rock hits. They are based in Cleveland and the current members are David Jenkins on drums, Jim Black on bass guitar, Josh Nichols handling lead guitar, and Patrick Ziemak as the lead vocalist.

The band's name reveals their attitude; they believe the sound that came out of the grunge bands in Seattle defined the entire 1990s. They have been inspired by the iconic grunge bands like Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains, but they don't confine their performances to just these groups. They also play songs from outfits like Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, REM, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N' Roses, and dozens of others.

A review of Grunge DNA says:

“Came to see Ten Band but Grunge DNA was an incredible surprise. Just fantastic.”

Grunge DNA will be at the Sly Fox in North Olmsted on September 12, starting at 9:00 pm with the show continuing into the early hours of the next morning. The Fox has a $5 cover charge. Flyer printing is often used to create handouts to advertise this type of event.
