Westlake hosts third annual Community Run

The City of Westlake will host its third annual Community Run this September. This event, organized by the Recreation Department in partnership with University Hospitals, will coincide with the city’s Annual Safety and Wellness Day.

A range of activities will be offered to participants of all ages. Racers can choose from a timed 5K event or Speed Walk, a one-mile untimed Fun Walk, or a free Kids Dash for children aged eight and under. The 5K and Speed Walk will be chip-timed, while the one-mile walk will not.

Registration fees are $35 for the 5K Run/Walk and Speed Walk, or $25 for the one-mile walk. Children aged five and under are eligible for free participation. Mail-in registrations must be received by September 10. The first 200 registrants are guaranteed to receive goodie Bags, and Kids Dash racers will receive medals.

The day will also feature post-race refreshments, awards, a pancake breakfast, inflatables, a DJ, and a raffle. Pancake breakfast tickets are included with registration, with additional tickets available for $8.

Banner printing can be a helpful tool for effectively promoting and drawing attention to events like this one.

The event will take place at the Westlake Recreation Center Grounds, 28955 Hilliard Boulevard, Westlake. Registration and collections of packets will begin at 7:30 am, then the Kids Dash follows at 8:15 am, before the main races at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 13.
