February can be a drab month, but North Olmsted has found a way to liven things up—by literally having a ball.
The Princess & Character Ball is coming to North Olmsted's Springvale Ballroom, and all the princes and princesses in the land are invited. This is the fifth year for the event, which is open to children of all ages. However, attendees are asked to dress in the costume of their favorite character, and come prepared to dance, as well as take pictures with some of their favorite storybook characters.
In addition, every ticket holder gets to enjoy pizza, princess punch, and a cookie. All attendees, except infants being carried, must purchase a ticket. They are on sale now, for $7. Attendees do not have to live in North Olmsted to attend the ball.
The Springvale Ballroom is one of Ohio's oldest ballrooms, having opened in 1923. It was built by Fred Biddulph, the grandson of John Biddulph, who had immigrated from England and in 1840 bought the land on which Springvale now stands. Fred built it for two reasons – to generate additional income, and to dance with Clara, his wife. Today, the venue is popular for all kinds of events, including princess balls.
The Princess & Character ball is set for February 16, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Flyer printing is an outstanding tool for creating handouts for events like this.
