North Olmsted seminar to help people with their self-care

The Seed Sowing Movement will host a one-day seminar in April at the North Olmsted Recreation Center.

Powering Up Your Self-Care is an event that people may attend to learn strategies that can help them feel their best. The program intends to give attendees a day of rejuvenation and relaxation while teaching them how to care for their minds and bodies. There will be an icebreaker activity, guided meditation workshop, and group yoga session held at the seminar. Groups that host similar relaxation seminars may use printing services to make event advertisements.

The Seed Sowing Movement is an organization that aims to help teachers combat stress and burnout by providing mental wellness services. The group offers counseling and coaching services to people, and also hosts professional development workshops. The founder of the Seed Sowing Movement is Patrice Brantley, a community leader, author, and retired educator who graduated from Nova Southeastern University and Florida A&M University. She also won The Woman of Empowerment Award in 2011.

The self-care workshop will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 8:00 am to noon. Tickets to the event will cost $40, though people will receive a $10 discount if they book their tickets early. The price will include all materials needed for the workshops at the recreation center. People cannot receive refunds for the event.
