A fun and educational walk is on the schedule in North Olmsted.
The Western Cuyahoga Audubon is the organizer of the Second Saturday Bird Walk, which will take place in the Rocky River Nature Center on Valley Parkway in North Olmsted. Dave Graskemper, Ken Gober, and Bill Deininger will lead the event. Bird enthusiasts of all skill levels are welcome to join the walk, where they will enjoy the wetlands and woods around the Nature Center. They will find the group to be friendly and knowledgeable.
This walk is one in an on-going series, and the timing is interesting. As summer turns to autumn, bird enthusiasts may see the very beginning of the fall migration. Flyer printing can be used to create informative handouts for participants in events like this.
The Western Cuyahoga Audubon, which is based in Cuyahoga County, is a chapter of the National Audubon Society. WCAS seeks to sustain all bird species by educating the public about birds and conserving their habitats. The National Audubon Society works to preserve birds and their habitats. Incorporated in 1905, it is one of the oldest conservation organizations in the world.
The bird walk is set for September 11, from 9.00 am until 12.00 pm. Participants will meet at the parking lot of the Nature Center. The event is free, but participants are asked to register in advance.
