Fairview Park in for a well-read month

Residents of Fairview Park and other cities that are part of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL) system have a chance to make reading a priority in 2015.

CCPL is kicking off the new year with a ‘Resolve to Read’ contest to encourage patrons to come to the library daily. Those who do will have a chance to win a new iPad.

The contest allows library patrons to earn one entry for each day they use their library cards. There are a number of ways for customers to do so, including checking out a book, CD, or DVD from their local branch library. They may also enter by downloading a streaming video or eBook from the library's digital collection, or using their card to access any of the library's online resources.

Sari Feldman, CCPL's executive director, said the campaign is designed to encourage Cuyahoga County residents to read more, and visit the library frequently. Library staff members could work with a poster printing company to create a display poster for the front desk of the Fairview Park branch.

In order to participate, patrons need to have a valid CCPL library card. The contest got underway yesterday and runs through February 6, and CCPL will pick four winners per week during the duration of the campaign. The Fairview Park branch is located at 21255 Lorain Road.
