Auto event in North Olmsted

Car enthusiasts in North Olmsted have an event on the way they are sure to enjoy.

The Olmsted Historical Society has organized the upcoming Car Cruise & Antique Engines Show. The planned displays include antiques, trucks, and classic cars, and the LaGrange Engine Club plans to be on hand with antique farm engines of all sizes. Banner printing can be used to create identifying Signs for events like this.

The LaGrange Engine Club was established in 1970 and is a non-profit organization with a long history in Lorain County. The organization restores, preserves, and displays antique industrial and farm machinery and engines. In 2006, under an agreement made with the Lorain County Agricultural Society, the Club saved an early 1900s display barn at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Elyria. The Club also created its current blacksmith shop by moving a farm shop to the Fairgrounds in 2012.

The Frostville Museum is a living history center depicting life in Ohio in the 1800s. The Olmsted Historical Society operates the facility, which comprises seven historic buildings and two recently built structures. The Prechtel House is original to the site, which the other buildings have been moved to the museum.

The event is set for August 1, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, at the Frostville Museum on Cedar Point Road. The museum also opens at 10:00 am. The event is free, and food and beverages will be available.
