New businesses to open in downtown Delaware
Two new businesses are getting ready to open in Delaware, and could prove to be a draw for people from Lewis Center.
The operators of a coffee bar and a pizza restaurant both hope to have their establishments open by the first week in September.
Melissa Dixon is the owner of Coffeeology, which is taking over the Thrifty Chic premises, located on Sandusky Street. She will operate the shop with her mother, Sharon Coles, who is from Sedona, Arizona, while Dixon is originally from Long Beach, California. Coles is an expert on antiques, and has been in the business for over 20 years. She plans to bring items from the West Coast to display in the shop, along with other new retail items. While Coles concentrates on her end of the business, Dixon, who is an experienced barista, plans to operate a full-service coffee bar that will feature a seating area.
Once people have their coffee, they can go a few blocks to enjoy pizza at Mohio Pizza Company, which will be operated by Mo Nelson. Nelson plans to offer wood-fired, individual pizzas, as well as sandwiches and appetizers. He will select wines and craft beers to complement the pizza menu.
Companies like these can profit by working with printing companies to create promotional items to distribute, thus creating excitement about these types of openings.
