What's Happening in Lewis Center, OH…

Lewis Center housing development to get new models

In order to offer lower prices to its customers, Epcon Communities is adding attached condos to several of its developments.

The builder, which is based in Columbus, is going to add to three of its communities in central Ohio. The additions include 20 duplexes, which will be built in Grove City in its Courtyards on Hoover, and 26 attached homes, which it will build in Lewis Center at its Courtyards at Hidden Ravines.

Prices for the units are expected to be $234,900 for the Grove City development, while the Lewis Center homes will carry a price tag of $239,900. The builder is also planning to add more attached condos to Jerome Village.

Epcon has been in business for about 30 years, starting with attached condominiums—a configuration that means the condo is attached to something else—another unit, or a garage, for instance. Epcon has recently begun constructing detached homes.

The new attached condominiums will comprise anything from 1,470 square feet up to slightly more than 1,900 square feet. They will include the same amenities as those found in detached models, and, in addition, give buyers the option of adding a second story that could add as much as 500 square feet to the unit.

Epcon Communities might consider developing brochures that describe the new condominiums, and distributing them to residential realtors in the central Ohio area.
