Burger restaurant trio back in business
Three Smashburger restaurants in and around Lewis Center, all of which closed in September, will soon be open again, this time with the corporation as the owner.
Not only will the three restaurants reopen their doors, but Smashburger is also planning to set up even more restaurants in the area.
President and CEO of Smashburger, Scott Crane, said that fans of the company have been calling, emailing, and posting on social media, asking when they stores would open again, and he was excited to be able to tell them the chain is back in business.
The three reopening dates are: Westerville Square in Westerville on January 20; the Gahanna location on February 3; and the location in Lewis Center on February 16.
In addition, Crane said Smashburger has identified another four or five communities in the Columbus area in which the stores could do well.
In order to celebrate the reopening of the stores, Smashburger plans special events and giveaways for its customers in the local area. The company plans to provide details of the events on its Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
Smashburger gets its name from its cooking technique in which it uses loosely shaped balls of fresh ground beef, then literally smashes onto the grill to create its signature hamburgers.
The restaurants could create colorful banners, which are suitable for use both indoors and out, to celebrate the reopenings.
