Awareness festival on Dublins schedule

An African American theatre festival will be held in Dublin this July, tackling a range of hard-hitting themes.

The event's name is the Columbus Black Theater Festival. It is an annual affair that celebrates its 10th staging this year, held just 15 miles of so from Lewis Center.

The festival will be presented in two parts, where patrons will first experience the six plays. Each performance addresses issues about which the organizers aim to raise awareness, including such themes as dyslexia, homelessness, mental illness, child abandonment, and self-identity.

The session afterwards will be a recognition ceremony. It will feature awards for those that have supported the festival for the 10 years of its tenure. For those who are unable to attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed, making it accessible to those located within and outside of the state.

The cost of tickets for the event will be $15, and they are available for purchase on the organization's website. Group discounts are also available, and further information on how to access these is available on the Eventbrite listing. Poster printing can be a great way to offer information to patrons about the plays at events such as this one.

The festival will happen on July 10th at the Abbey Theatre of Dublin, which is located at 5600 Post Road.
